Figs for breakfast! Our neighbor has a fig tree, and part of it hangs over onto our patio. We’ve taken full advantage of that! I think Cora is addicted…
I’m so thankful we have this beautiful patio! We try to eat breakfast and lunch out here every day, as long as the weather is good. It has been mostly sunny, with a high in the 70’s every day we’ve been here so far.
Today was mostly spent around the house. After two loads of laundry, I finally realized the washing machine was not even turning the clothes over. It was not due to my inability to make sense of the washing machine – I tried every setting to make sure! So I dragged the wet clothes upstairs to a different machine (thank goodness it exists) and did the wash there. That machine doesn’t rinse things entirely, and it has no spin cycle. So, I got a workout rinsing and twisting the drenched heavy clothes and towels until they were decently dry and hanging them in the sun. I’m just thankful I’m not washing everything by hand. One reason to travel light! Cora had fun turning the clothes pin basket into a gondola for her toys.
Ruins of an old castle perch on the hill behind our house, so we decided to take an evening walk to check it out. In addition to the castle, several small towers were built by private homeowners during the time of pirate attacks in the 1500’s??
